CTMH Activity Advent Calendar from CTMH Pear and Partridge

This project lets you play, play, play! I used ALL the patterned paper designs in the Pear and Partridge packet! I got out all my BLING and Holiday stamps.....piled my coordinating ribbons and ink pads around me and PLAYED! This is a project that I will use for years to come! Instead of counting down to Christmas with gifts and toys, the pockets are filled with cards labeled with family activities  Decorating the tree, hanging the lights, donating to charity, taking a meal to a friend, watching our favorite holiday films, and MAILING OUR HOMEMADE CARDS!! I am selling kits with directions, pre-cut papers and assorted "BLING" and embellishments. Let me know if you are interested and I will price it out. If you would like to start your own from scratch, all the necessary supplies can be ordered from my shopping website at www.nwpaperworks.ctmh.com

Oct 20th Clementine Scrap Layout!!

Great 7-picture layout....I can see this for pumpkin patches, fall family photos, Thanksgiving pics....the "flavor" could be changed quite a bit by substituting the "Sorbet" block lower right for a blue "Twilight" block or a yellow "Creme Brulee" piece! Can't wait for our party :-)

So Excited to get my Studio J Pages!!!

The kids and I played around for less than an hour last night and created 5 2-page Studio J layouts!! They had a great time picking out pictures with me to upload and then a paper design "kit" and a layout. From there, everything is drag and drop!...pictures, changing papers, ribbons, accents, embellishments, stickers, titles, journaling...and my closet didn't get any fuller with leftovers! The hardest part was choosing between all the cool new and retired paper kits and the endless layouts.

Here is Abby's tribute to her grandpa Lolo's recently deceased dog:

And here is the page that Carson put together for his First Grade Un-Birthday Party (Yes, he is now in 3rd grade!!)

I did back to school layouts for both 2nd and 3rd grades!!

And a layout commemorating my college roommate annual get-together....

Created and ordered last night and my high-quality 12x12 prints are already on their way by FedEx...they will be here in time to share at our party on October 20th!! Hope you are planning on attending! See you soon- Korie

Our first meeting will be October 20th showcasing a great new paper set called Clementine. For a $10 project fee, you can show up and create a 2-page scrapbook layout or 3 prepared cards that all use this cute new paper packet with awesome Fall colors. Let me know by the first of each month if you would like to attend so that I can prepare your project. When it is your "hostess" month, you provide a light snack for the group, and become eligible for AT LEAST $25 in FREE PRODUCT!! With some minimal effort to increase sales that month- like inviting a few friends to club that month or showing your catalog to your scrapbooking of card making friends- that amount of free product can increase drastically! If you are interested, please let me know by the 1st of October so I can make sure I have your supplies for our first meeting :-)

Start scheduling time for YOU!

I will be holding a Close to my Heart Open House on Saturday, Sept 15th from 6-9pm. Participants will get to make a free card, check out a bunch of new CTMH products and see what I have in store for the year.

I will be holding regularly scheduled events on the 3rd Saturday of each month. If there is enough interest, I may expand to the following Monday as well. If you are interested in joining a paper-crafting club with a $20 a month commitment, you will earn hostess rewards 1-2 times per year.  What could be better than crafting with your friends AND CtmH FREE stuff!?!

Afraid of commitment? You are more than welcome to attend on a month-to-month basis for a $10 project fee. You will make the same scrapbook layout or cards as the rest of the group, but will not be eligible for hostess rewards and will not have extra supplies and goodies to take home as well.

Send me a email if you are interested in attending on Saturday. If you would like to join "The Club", just need $10 to order your first CTMH Exclusive Paper packet and your name will be placed on the Hostess rewards list.

Where has my summer vacation gone??

As a teacher, you NEED summer vacation by the time June rolls around...the possibilities seem endless to fill those 2 1/2 months with the family and projects that you have neglected during the school year. So you do FILL THOSE MONTHS! And they fly by- then the letter is in the mailbox announcing the back-to-school trainings and the soccer schedules are posted and you think, Where did all that delicious time go?

My triplets b-day is in July. This photo was snapped at their party with one of their cousins. My scrapbook abulms are organized around the kids ages and the teacher "Year". Every album ends with their b-day so that the final page is a picture of the three of them from their party. This will be the last picture in their "7 year old" book. Since I haven't even started that book, I got a t-shirt shadow box for 1/2 price at Michaels (around $6) and put the page in there so I can admire it for awhile.

Details:
Paper: Superhero B&T
Card stock: Cranberry, Crystal Blue, Black, Cranberry, Moonstruck
Inks: Cranberry, Crystal Blue, Outdoor Denim
Stamp Collections: Stars from....Love Life (D1482), Cricut Artiste Collection (D1530), American
Celebration (D1458)
Embellishments: Corrugated Stars, Cricut Art Philosophy (to cut stars, circles, banner tags),
Adhesive Shimmer Trim, Black waxy flax,
Pinwheel was a b-day wrap topper that I stole
and broke to fit into shadow box)

Loving Studio J!!! Check it Out....

I have a lot of "Scrapper's Guilt" over the empty books on my shelf. My kids are 8 now and the last book that looks like it might be finished (it really isn't) is when they were 3!! I love the cutting and pasting and planning and choosing- let's face it everything- about scrap booking, but my memory is not what it used to be. I am not good about writing things down- so I'm afraid that precious things that went along with the pictures are being lost...thus, the GUILT.

Close to my Heart has a companion web version of scrap booking that shares the same"look" and design principles, papers, and embellishments- but in an electronic version. Layouts can be designed online in a matter of minutes and are printed on the highest quality of 12" by 12"  papers and print finishes and shipped to your home to drop into your sleeve protectors. No photo processing to pay for (and guessing what size you will want) and no need to haul out the mountain of supplies. (Don't get me wrong.....I LOVE my mountain of toys!)

At first, I balked over the idea of putting a picture of a scrap book page in my precious albums....but then I thought, it's going underneath a plastic sleeve....in an album. Most of it's pretty flat anyways. And my end result is a family history. Let's face it. Someone wants to know who was the fist kid to walk....I dunno.....let's get out the albums.

I have several layouts waiting for printing. I have done them in 10-15 minutes each- in between activities or waiting for the spaghetti water to boil. I will ship them together for one $6 shipping fee and the pages are only $7 for a 2-page layout. A bargain when you consider that I didn't pay for any photo processing, papers, adhesives, or embellishments- but I still get that great CTMH "look". When a layout is ordered, High quality jpegs of the files will be emailed to me if I choose to reprint on my own or so that I can share them with you all here or email them to family on the East Coast. The jpegs are FREE with purchase!

Sorry for such a long post...but this is a product that I am very excited about using and one that I am excited to share with you....keep checking back for images of my Studio J layouts!!
